Guidance to support petroleum activities and Australian Marine Parks published

More than three million square kilometres of our Commonwealth waters are designated as Australian Marine Parks (AMPs) – protected marine habitats, established and managed by the Director of National Parks (DNP), supported by Parks Australia (PA).

To ensure the sustainability of these AMPs, NOPSEMA and PA have recently produced a guidance note to assist petroleum titleholders to understand their obligations in managing risks and impacts to AMPs and to also support consultation with the DNP.
