New regulatory guidance: workplace arrangements

Following a consultation period, NOPSEMA has recently published a new guidance note on workplace arrangements. The guidance provides a consolidation of the provisions within the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006 relating to workplace arrangements and includes considerations for short-term members of the workforce.

All members of the workforce play a role in occupational health and safety on offshore petroleum facilities. Facility operators must develop policies that will facilitate effective cooperation, and establish workplace arrangements when requested. 

This guidance note is intended to assist operators in implementing effective workplace arrangements and meeting their obligations under the legislation.
