NOPSEMA accepts notification to end Equinor's environment plan

NOPSEMA has accepted Equinor's notification to end the operation of its approved environment plan for exploratory drilling in the Great Australian Bight.

NOPSEMA advised Equinor of its decision on 9 March 2020, after receiving notification from Equinor on 27 February, 2020.

As of 17 March 2020, the Wilderness Society of SA has decided to discontinue its Federal Court action against the decision of NOPSEMA to accept Equinor’s environment plan.
