NOPSEMA advisory board chair named in Queen’s birthday honours list

His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia has announced the appointment of Ms Erica Smyth as a Companion of the Order of Australia.

Ms Smyth received the award for her eminent service to the community through corporate governance roles with charitable, medical research, higher education, nuclear scientific and technology organisations, to the minerals exploration sector, and to women in business.

My Smyth has been Chair of the NOPSEMA Advisory Board since 2017, and NOPSEMA congratulates Ms Smyth on her award and the outstanding contribution she has made to industry and the community. Ms Smyth was named in the in the 2018 Queen’s Birthday Honours List announced by the Governor-General on 11 June. The Australian honours system appointments to the Order of Australia confer the highest recognition for outstanding achievement and service.
