NOPSEMA hosts crane safety workshop for industry

On Tuesday 27 July 2021 NOPSEMA hosted a crane safety workshop for industry.

The workshop was facilitated by Joel Leven and panelled by Kevin McLean (INPEX), Mark Emmerson (NOPSEMA), David Brough (Sparrows).

Industry members completed surveys on the feasibility of assurance and compliance recommendations proposed by NOPSEMA. The survey results formed the basis for the discussion topics between attendees and the panel.

In the coming months NOPSEMA will use the key findings from the workshop and collaborate with industry to provide guidance on crane operations in the offshore petroleum industry.
