Psychosocial risk management guidance note published following consultation period

NOPSEMA has developed a Psychosocial risk management guidance note in response to increased concerns about the unique work environment and living conditions experienced in the offshore petroleum industry. The heightened risk of exposure to psychosocial hazards has been further exacerbated by the raft of measures taken by industry in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

NOPSEMA invited industry to provide comment on this guidance note and having considered all submissions has now published a final version.

The purpose of this guidance note is to provide duty holders with information on how to evaluate psychosocial hazards and implement control measures to effectively demonstrate a reduction of risk to as low as reasonably practicable.
