Reminder - Call for action: Offshore worker mental health survey

Published:
27 July, 2021

At the beginning of June 2021 NOPSEMA, APPEA and the Principal Offshore Unions launched an Offshore Worker Mental Health Survey.  So far the survey has been completed by hundreds of offshore workers. The survey will close on 9 August 2021, so your chance to participate in this important work closes soon. If you want your views heard on this vital topic please access the survey at the address below.

This survey is the result of a meaningful collaboration between NOPSEMA, APPEA and the Offshore Alliance, but it cannot inform meaningful outcomes for offshore workers without your support.  We encourage you to take part.

The MHWG has partnered with Curtin University and the University of Western Australia to develop this survey, using evidence-based, research-backed measures which allow the researchers greater insight into the psychosocial impacts of COVID-19 from the information you provide.  Your unique insight on the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on members of the offshore workforce are vital to informing industry and the development of strategies that best support employee mental health and well-being.

Curtin University Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) has approved this study (HREC number HRE2018-0449). If you have questions about this study, please contact HREC at hrec@curtin.edu.au, or the researchers with the details below.
